Hello JSA Vets!

I'm a History professor and a former feature writer for the Korea Times and have been living in Korea since 1990. I have written a number of essays and articles about Panmunjom/JSA, including one on the 25th anniversary of the Panmunjom Ax Murders (all of them are featured in my latest book, Waking Up in the Land of the Morning Calm)and I have recently started work on a book about the JSA. I would like to interview vets who were stationed in the JSA during the the times when the various incidents took place as well as other times. Please contact me if you would like to help out. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

Jan - Dec 1974 - i was the personnel sergeant (PSNCO) at HQ, JSA badge #76. Have lots of memories of life on the DMZ that year. Still have some momentous, such as my black cap, JSA field jacket, and a silver plate with engraving. Have a few photos somewhere. Would love to attend a future reunion.

I remember my days in the JSA, Mid-80's. Some good times during those 30 months. I can't think of a better first assignment. Grew up fast.

I have some photos in storage, have to dig them out over the winter. I also have a piece of the tree, after it finally fell in 86'.
